This easy waffle recipe is a delicious breakfast! These classic waffles are crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. We love them with maple syrup.

Ingredients
- all-purpose flour - 2 cups
- baking powder - 2 teaspoons
- sea salt - ½ teaspoon
- large eggs - 2
- milk - 1¼ cups
- unsalted butter - ½ cup
- granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons
- vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Maple syrup - for serving
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle iron. Lightly grease it with melted butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla and whisk until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. A few lumps are ok.
- Scoop ½ cup of batter for each waffle into a Belgian waffle maker, or scoop an appropriate amount for your waffle maker.
- Cook for 4 minutes, or until golden brown and lightly crisp. The timing will depend on your waffle iron.
- Serve with more butter and maple syrup.
