Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts - 2
- Eggs - 2
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Parmesan Cheese - 1/2 cup
- Marinara Sauce - 1 cup
- Mozzarella Cheese - 1 cup
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black Pepper - to taste
- Fresh Basil - for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides.
- Place the cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
